Say it with your feet

No partying experience can be complete without a jazzy pair of heels, be it stilettos or ‘peep’ toes. But, those high heels and long hours can lay great stress on the muscles of your poor feet.

If you wear them occasionally, it’s okay. However, people, who frequently wear high heels or tightly closed footwear, might find themselves developing more than foot problems if they do not take adequate care. All that stress and tension can knot up the muscles in your feet and legs tighter than ever.

Did you know that twenty five percent of the bones in your body are in your feet?! If even one of these bones is misaligned, your entire body can be affected. It could manifest in the form of knee aches; hip or lower back pain or even throbbing shoulders and headaches.

So for your well being, it is essential to take a few minutes off every day to look after your feet. Just before hitting the bed, you should soak your feet in warm water and then gently massage the muscles of the feet – you will most definitely wake up feeling fresher!

In order to maintain good looking feet, as a weekly routine it is necessary to scrub your feet with a pumice stone to get rid of the dead skin cells that are present, and to brush your toe nails clean. You can do all this quite easily in the shower. Make sure you go for a good pedicure at least once a month.

Foot care rules are very simple, and if you follow them religiously you will be healthier and happier.
